i am an ache;

a thorn in the side

of someone who doesn’t

know me.

what is it to know someone?

if i spent all my time

writing,

i would become my words and fade

away.

i cut my hair to

disappear and find

love,

like a bracelet holding my wrist

and a necklace suffocating me.
